Smart Energy – Giant Unearthed Cable
Brief
Smart Energy GB wanted a guerrilla installation that visualised wasted energy in the UK and promoted smart meters as a solution. The piece had to capture attention in busy urban environments.
Our Approach
We fabricated a huge unearthed power cable using laser-cut steel and rubberised materials. The cable appeared to burst from the ground, accompanied by messaging about energy waste and the benefits of smart meters. The installation could be set up quickly in different locations.
Impact
The striking sculpture prompted passers-by to consider their energy consumption and generated media coverage for the smart meter campaign.
